Thanks to the Seminoles’ performance against Miami, this piece just got a lot easier to write. For the first time this season, more than half of the bowl projections we check don’t think Florida State will qualify for the postseason— with only games at Boston College, vs. Alabama State, and at Florida remaining, that basically means that they think the ’Noles will lose at BC this Saturday, since the ASU game is assumed to be a win and the UF trip is anticipated to be a loss.
Those foreseeing an FSU loss in Chestnut Hill: Stadium’s Brett McMurphy, Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach of ESPN, College Football News, and our own Banner Society. The Sporting News still thinks the Seminoles will play Kentucky in Charlotte’s Belk Bowl, while a Motor City matchup against the Illinois Fighting Illini in the Quick Lane Bowl is on the horizon according to both 247 Sports and CBS Sports.
