After a year off, Florida State football’s wait to return to postseason play is nearly over. The 6-6 Seminoles are in El Paso and will take on the 7-5 Arizona State Sun Devils on New Year’s Eve afternoon.
Bud Elliott is back to discuss the game, and while he discusses a number of players to watch, he also runs through the long list of players who will miss this game, as has become the norm with bowl games of late. Both teams will play without their top running backs, and ASU is also out its No. 1 receiver.
But the Sun Devils could still put up some points on the Seminoles, who are as depleted defensively as they’ve been all season. Arizona State also boasts an aggressive defense that doesn’t concede many big plays, as well as effective special teams.
Elliott offers his prediction as to the score, and to check out the preview Nolecast in its entirety, click on the link below.
