The top-ranked outside linebacker in the 2020 class, Sav’ell Smalls plans to visit Florida State at the end of July for the Seminoles’ Saturday Night Live recruiting event.
Smalls remains uncommitted and has narrowed his choices down to 12 schools, with plans to cut that number in half in the coming weeks. It’s reasonable to expect FSU will make his final 6 based on his plan to attend SNL.
Smalls detailed the reasons for his interest in Florida State in an interview with Sports Stars of Tomorrow:
“I like Florida State because of the coaches they’ve got and my ex-teammate Tre’Shaun Harrison is down there, so I got to know a lot about them. I took a visit last year and the culture was just crazy, I liked the culture.”
A consensus 5-star per the 247Sports composite, Smalls is currently being forecasted as an Alabama lean with 43% or crystal balls going in favor of the Tide, but the ’Noles are right there at 29%, and getting him back on campus for the second time this summer certainly helps.
At 6’3” 230 pounds, the no. 4 recruit in the country has prototypical size and would be FSU’s highest rated recruit of the class should they land him.
