2019 Doak Walker Award candidates include FSU’s Cam Akers

Watchlist season rolls on through the dog days of summer, and today’s installment is the initial release of those being considered for the Doak Walker Award, the hardware presented annually to the nation’s top running back. And Florida State is represented.

Just days after making the Maxwell Award watchlist for the player of the year, junior Seminole RB Cam Akers is being eyed for the Walker as well. Then again, who isn’t? Here’s the full rundown:
