There’s no real quarterback battle at Florida State. And there’s certainly no controversy. Still, Vegas is always willing to take your money, and professional handicappers opened a line on Wednesday as to the Seminoles’ QB1 come opening day.

I get these emails from oddsmakers from time to time, and I tend to give them a cursory glance, to see if there’s anything of note that you, our largely Seminole audience, might find of interest. Frankly, I was somewhat surprised that there were odds set up for the FSU quarterback situation, but here we are.

As of press, Florida State is one of 17 programs with odds offered on the starting QB position, and those odds looks like this:

  • James Blackman: 1/8
  • Alex Hornibrook: 5/1

Of course, that’s quite a nod to No. 1 as QB1.

There are other ACC programs included as well, all of whom FSU will be facing during the 2019 season:

  • Tate Martell 2/3
  • N’Kosi Perry 7/4
  • Jarren Williams 3/1

North Carolina State

  • Matt McKay 2/5
  • Bailey Hockman 11/4
  • Devin Leary 7/2

Wake Forest

  • Sam Hartman 1/5
  • Jamie Newman 3/1
