Florida State football has received a needed dose of positive news from the NCAA (yes, apparently that’s a thing), as quarterback Jordan Travis’ hardship waiver has (finally) been granted.
Translation: Travis, a transfer from Louisville, will not have to sit out a year and is immediately eligible for the Seminoles. A product of The Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, FL, Travis signed with Louisville in 2018 and then redshirted with the Cardinals before announcing his transfer to FSU.

By normal NCAA rules, Travis would have had to sit out the 2019 season, but the waiver means he can suit up right away as a redshirt-freshman. This is a critical development for the Seminoles’ QB depth behind presumptive starter James Blackman. Travis will likely compete with fellow transfer Alex Hornibrook for the number two spot.
