About a month ago, we invited you to signup for FanPulse, a new SB Nation endeavor that gives you, or readers, your own top 25 votes. Well we’ve run the numbers, and the 2019 preseason poll — according to Tomahawk Nation staff and readers — is here. Check it out:
- Clemson
- Alabama
- Georgia
- Oklahoma
- Ohio State
- Michigan
- Notre Dame
- Texas
- LSU
- Oregon
- Texas A&M
- Washington
- Florida
- Penn State
- Utah
- Wisconsin
- UCF
- Auburn
- Iowa
- Northwestern
- Iowa State
- Michigan State
- Miami
- Nebraska
- Virginia Tech
Also receiving votes: Syracuse, Boise State, Virginia, Stanford, USC
Remember, FSU was not presented as a voting option for this initial poll, but editors can request that teams be added, and I’ve already done so for the Seminoles. Obviously, some of these teams will lose their openers, so that could open the window for the ’Noles— provided they take care of business themselves.
And then there’s the national FanPulse poll, which averages together all of the SB Nation college sites’ individual polls. Here it is:

Tomahawk Nation voters have the same top 7 as the national poll, and not surprisingly, the biggest disparity involves UF: the Gators are 8th in the composite poll, but 13th per TN voters. Miami is just a lone spot lower for Tomahawk Nation voters than nationally— I’m a little surprised they made the TN top 25 at all. I’m also surprised that Texas A&M is ranked as high by our readers as the Aggies are nationally, at 11th. But that should change when they get stomped by Clemson.
