With ranked teams still in action on Sunday and Monday nights, week one of the 2019 college football season is far from over. But that hasn’t stopped Vegas from releasing betting lines for next week’s games.
Florida State will try to send its fans home happy this time, as the Seminoles will host the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks on Saturday. And professional handicappers think they’ll get it done. Well, they did against Boise State too, but they’re more confident this time around, as the ’Noles have opened as 21-point favorites. The over/under is 62.5 points, meaning the expected score is something around 42-21, Seminoles.
Of course, FSU has some recent history with ULM. The Warhawks were the team the Seminoles rescheduled after the UF game in 2017, and Florida State won that game 42-10. That result got the ’Noles bowl eligible, and the rest is Shreveport history. The two teams’ only other meeting was in 2011, which FSU won 34-0.
Louisiana-Monroe opened its season on Saturday with a victory over Grambling State, rushing for 315 yards en route to a 31-9 win.
