Vegas favoring ’Noles by more than a touchdown vs. Louisville— you betting FSU?

Last year, Florida State needed a 14-0 fourth-quarter rally to beat Louisville on the road. This time around, professional handicappers think the Seminoles will have an easier go of it— slightly.

The opening line for FSU’s Saturday afternoon game against the Cardinals has dropped, and the pros in the desert have installed the ’Noles as early eight-point favorites. The over/under is 59.5 points, which means that Vegas anticipates a score around 34-26.

Point spreads always fluctuate, and this one should be no different. We’ve yet to get injury updates on several key players for both sides; for instance, as of press, Louisville quarterback Jawon Pass is listed as questionable.

Pass suffered a “lower-body extremity” injury in UL’s opening-game loss to Notre Dame, and after playing in the Cards’ win over Eastern Kentucky, he sat this weekend against Western Kentucky, another victory for 2-1 Louisville. Redshirt-sophomore Malik Cunningham is his backup.
