Willie Taggart speaks to the media following Florida State’s victory over NC State

That’s two straight!

NCAA Football: Louisville at Florida State Melina Myers-USA TODAY Sports

Florida State took down its second straight ACC opponent since 2016 with its victory over NC State, 31-13. The Seminoles will enter a two week hiatus following its matchup with former Florida State quarterback Bailey Hockman and the Wolfpack. Florida State will prepare to face the Clemson Tigers in a hostile Death Valley as both teams will have two weeks for game preparation.

After the game, Willie Taggart opened with the following statement, “Man, great win for our football team. Had a good feeling about this game going into the week. Our guys had by far our best week of practice this entire year this past week. Thought our guys came really locked in to practicing and understanding what we’re doing and did a good job executing in practice through the week, and thought it paid off for us tonight.”

Taggart continued, “I thought last week was a turning point for our team. I think our team is consistently getting better. Each and every week our guys are finding ways to get better, and that’s what we talk about, trying to get 1% better each and every game.”

Taggart also addressed James Blackman’s status.
