Florida State Seminoles’ fans have been able to hear from many of the new coaches in previous weeks. Today, the Seminole coaches met with the media for a pre-spring luncheon.
Tomahawk Nation’s Brett Nevitt was able to attend and speak with Florida State head of strength and conditioning Josh Storms.
Storms has gotten plenty of praise from not just the new Seminoles’ staff, but players as well. The results of Storms’ first few months have been apparent, with Florida State head coach Mike Norvell saying at a press conference today that on average, there’s been an increase of seven positive pounds per player.
Storms spoke on the need to adjust fast, given the shortened timeline with a new staff coming in, as well as his hopes for spring.
“Spring ball for us this year is about coming in and laying down the foundation of what our program’s about from a cultural standpoint,” he said. “[We want the] guys understanding verbiage, the things we can expect them to do and then moving from there.”
