I will forever be grateful to everyone who has made my time at Florida State University as special as it has been. Thank you Nole Nation for everything.

I’m blessed to be able to announce that I will be transferring to Arizona State University this summer!! #ForksUp pic.twitter.com/uNqkUCyCis
Tyler, a former three-star composite recruit, performed well on the field for the Seminoles. As a freshman in 2016 he was solid in replacing Cason Beatty, and it wasn’t long before he also took over kickoff duties. At those, Tyler also excelled, leading the ACC and finishing fifth nationally in touchbacks.
As a sophomore Tyler continued to showcase his leg strength, booting a ridiculous 61-yard punt at Duke. He also strengthened his reputation as a tremendous kickoff specialist.
In 2018 as a junior, FSU’s lackluster offense gave Tyler plenty of reps. He broke the single-season school records of punts and punt yards at 82 for 3,545 respectively. It wasn’t just volume stats — Tyler’s 43.2 yards per punt efficiency also led the conference. He also led the ACC in punts of 50-plus yards.
Tyler opened the 2019 season against Boise State with one of his best performances, averaging 44 yards per punt and converting five of six kick-offs into touchbacks. Unfortunately, that would be the last time Tyler suited up in the Garnet and Gold, as off-field issues ended his FSU career.
Tyler finished with the third most punts in FSU history, which netted him the second most punt yards in school history, as well as the fourth best yards per punt average.
