Florida State head coach Mike Norvell recently joined former Seminole great Charlie Ward on “Chalk Talk with Charlie Ward.”
In recent weeks, Norvell has made many appearances to discuss the happenings of his football team during these unprecedented times. The Seminoles head coach was very open with Ward discussing his philosophies on family, discipline and sacrifice.
The FSU head coach has been put in a position to try and rebuild a program that has been floundering since 2017. This task is challenging enough for any head coach but now they are forced to do everything virtually.
Norvell and his staff are seemingly doing the best that they can with the hand they have been dealt. Coaches have spoken about using Zoom meetings, designing player specific workout programs, and individualized dietary plans as a way of keeping their players engaged.
Some highlights from the video include: a young defensive linemen questioning Norvell and Marvin Wilson’s response, Seminoles striving for greatness in the virtual classroom, and the mantras of WORK and CLIMB.

Watch for yourselves and pay close attention to the difference in philosophy from previous regimes.
