Jashaun Corbin spoke to the media today ahead of fall practice beginning tomorrow. The Texas A&M transfer spoke about his role in the upcoming season, his adjustment to FSU, and his excitement to play in Mike Norvell’s offense.
When asked about his chance to play in Norvell’s system, Corbin emphasized how much the system fits his play style and how it can open up his game. The transfer mentioned that he didn’t realize how good Memphis’ running game has been over the last couple years until Norvell mentioned to him they were top five in rushing in consecutive years.
He’s excited to have the chance to showcase his skills not only in the backfield, but also out wide as a receiver. Corbin said, “Seeing how they use the running backs, being in the back field and being put out wide, I feel like that just plays into my abilities perfectly.”
After a couple years at Texas A&M, the running back is ready to get started at Florida State.
“I’m just happy to be here and play in this type of offense.”
