Anticipation is mounting as the Florida State Seminoles football team is a mere two hours away from kickoff of their season opener against Georgia Tech.
FSU took to Twitter to announce today’s uniform combination: garnet jerseys and garnet pants. The rarely-used alternate uniforms have been worn several times against the Yellow Jackets in the past. The Seminoles will wear the all-garnet combination for the the first time since 2018.

“Obviously [FSU has] one of the great uniform combinations and traditions in all of college football,” head coach Mike Norvell said a few weeks ago when asked about uniforms.
“I think as we move forward, you could see some different combinations...that is something we will always evaluate and make sure that our uniform is celebrated as one of the greatest in all of college football. We want to represent our wonderful tradition.”
In Norvell’s debut, the uniforms will also notably feature the return of white numbers on the FSU jerseys. From 2014-2019, Florida State featured “gold” numbers, later adopting a white trim.
