NFL Noles: Week One

Dalvin Cook does Dalvin Cook things, Jalen Ramsey does Jalen Ramsey things.

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Rams Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

A look at how some Florida State Seminoles football players performed in week one (Denver vs. Tennessee and New York vs. Pittsburgh are scheduled for tonight.)

Carolina Panthers

Brian Burns, DE

Notes: Brian Burns went for 3 solo (4 total) tackles in the Panthers loss to the Raiders this weekend.

Chicago Bears

Mario Edwards Jr. , DE

Notes: Mario Edwards did not play in Sunday’s game

Eddie Goldman, DT

Notes: Eddie Goldman, who has opted out of the season, did not play in Sunday’s game

Cincinnati Bengals

Bobby Hart, OL

Notes: On Sunday he made his 32nd straight start for the Bengals.

Jacques Patrick, RB

Notes: Patrick will now be going into his rookie year as a RB for the Bengals with a three year deal lasting through 2022. He is not currently in the lineup.

Auden Tate, WR

Notes: Tate recorded 15 snaps on Sunday.

Dallas Cowboys

Cameron Erving, OL

Notes: Erving started at Right Tackle this weekend in the Cowboys loss against the Rams.

Detroit Lions

Christian Jones, LB

Notes: Christian Jones didn’t see the field much on but he assisted in one play resulting in a .5 tackle stat line against the Bears.

Denver Broncos

Trey Marshall, DB

Notes: Back in march the Broncos signed Marshall to a one year $660,000 contract. Currently Marshall is not on first or second team so we will have to see what the Broncos do with him as the year progresses. They play their first game on Monday.

DeMarcus Walker, DE

Notes: Walker is currently a second team DE for the Broncos. Last year, he had 22 Combined tackles.

Green Bay Packers:

Stanford Samuels III DB

Notes: Stanford Samuels III was officially signed on September 6th. He’s currently on the practice squad.

Houston Texans:

Roderick Johnson, LT

Notes: The Texans resigned Johnson this season. He is currently playing LT on the second string, seeing the field in limited action in the Texans’ loss last Thursday.

Indianapolis Colts:

Xavier Rhodes, DB

Notes: After his release from the Viking Xavier Rhodes signed a deal this summer with the Colts in hopes that he will increase his standings once again amongst cornerbacks within the league. On Sunday, Rhodes registered two solo tackles.

Jacksonville Jaguars:

Timmy Jernigan, DT

Notes: Jernigan had an uneventful game on Sunday, recording one quarterback hurry.

Chris Thompson, RB

Notes: Similar to his Nole counterpart, Thompson had a pretty uneventful game with only 2 receptions for 6 yards. Thompson should be a solid player for the Jags this season and hopefully he sees an increase in usage as the season progresses.

Kansas City Chiefs

Derrick Nnadi, DT

Notes: In his third NFL season with the Chiefs Derrick Nnadi began his season with a combined tackle in a 34-20 victory over the Texans.

LA Chargers

Derwin James, DB

Notes: Derwin James is currently on IR.

Gabe Nabers, FB

Notes: After making the roster as an unsigned free agent, Gabe Nabers saw the field in limited action Sunday.

LA Rams

Cam Akers, RB

Notes: In his rams debut Cam Akers went 14 for 39 yards rushing, in addition to a four-yard reception, filling up his stat sheet in his very first NFL game. With the amount of touches Akers received in his first game for the team it is clear that the Rams plan on utilizing him a lot this season — it should be exciting to watch him grow as a player as this year progresses.

Jalen Ramsey, DB

Notes: There’s a lot of controversy surrounding Jalen Ramsey this weekend as he stopped a TD by receiver Michael Gallup on a pass interference call. This penalty shifted the game and forced the Cowboys into a 4th in 20 which ruined their momentum and caused a turnover.

Las Vegas Raiders

Rodney Hudson, C

Notes: Hudson started on Sunday against the Panthers.

Lamarcus Joyner, DB

Notes: Lamarcus went for 3 Comb and 1 Ast tackles at Safety this Sunday.

Minnesota Vikings

Dalvin Cook, RB

Notes: Dalvin Cook tried his best this weekend to carry the Vikings this weekend with 12 Car, 50 Yrd and 2 TD. Unfortunately the Vikings still lost to the Packers 34-43.

New Orleans Saints

Derrick Kelly, OL

Notes: Derrick Kelly is second team LG for the Saints, seeing the field for 3 snaps on Sunday.

Patrick Robinson, DB

Notes: Robinson ended with 1/1 Tck/Ast in the Sunday win against the Buccaneers.

P.J. Williams, CB

Notes: The Saints missed their slot corner in Williams in their win against the Bucs. Coming off of a solid 2019 season Williams should see a good season once he is ready to play again.

Jameis Winston, QB

Notes: After signing a one year 1.1 million dollar contract with the Saints it is hard to see when Jameis will see the field so long as Drew Brees stays healthy this season. The Saints have something planned for Winston but it is not exactly clear what.

New York Giants

Graham Gano, K

Notes: Graham is set to play in his first game since December 2nd 2018. The Giants have high hopes for him this season and Gano has said he is “mentally prepared for this season.”

Philadelphia Eagles

Josh Sweat, DE

Notes: In the Eagles loss against Washington Josh Sweat went for a combined 3 Tck, 2 of them being unassisted with one sack as well as one assisted.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Vince Williams, LB

Notes: The Steelers and the Giants play on Monday.

Washington Football Team

Ronald Darby, DB

Notes: Darby went for 2 Comb and 2 Ast Tackles in the win this Sunday against the Eagles

Dustin Hopkins, K

Notes: Hopkins got the job done on Sunday, hitting 2 of 3 field goals and all extra points.
