Football:
Florida State Seminoles football will be without Mike Norvell on Saturday, but OC Kenny Dillingham had nothing but high praise for his fill in, Chris Thomsen:

Dillingham also noted that all four of FSU’s quarterbacks took reps in practice yesterday, suggesting that freshman QB Chubba Purdy, who has been out with a broken collarbone, at least took mental reps.
You can get the low-down on all of yesterday’s practice interviews, including the rest of Kenny Dillingham’s in our practice notebook.
The Four Verts crew took a look at how the ’Noles can build on their strengths against a red-hot Miami team.
There will be more on Freeman later, but It’s rivalry week, so lets look back on some fonder times in the matchup’s history:

Recruiting:
We reconnected with our friend and Fort Lauderdale High School AD T.J. Lawrence, who gave us a behind the scenes look at Mike Norvell’s first junior day, to see how high schools are navigating these unprecedented times.
The recruiting effort continues as FSU offered a 2022 4-star athlete out of Missouri that can play both sides of the ball.

Alumni:
This past NFL Sunday produced an onslaught of injuries, and unfortunately Cam Akers was included when he suffered a rib injury on a goal line carry against the Eagles. Sean McVay provided an update of the rookie’s status as LA prepares for Buffalo:

RB Malcolm Brown has a fractured pinky that was fixed today, he'll be available to play Sunday.
RB Cam Akers separated some rib cartilage and will be day-to-day
LG Joe Noteboom has a calf strain, will be out Sunday. Possible IR candidate.
After working out for the Giants following a season-ending injury to Saquon Barkley, Devonta Freeman will get his shot to get back in the league after being cut by the Falcons before the season:
There you go. #Giants are landing FA RB Devonta Freeman, pending tests. And he’ll have more than enough opportunities to re-establish himself. https://t.co/nOkQCGLH4j

Vince Williams is enjoying a great start to the 2020 campaign:
Steelers LB @VinnyVidiVici98 leads the NFL with 6 TFLs (3 more than any other player). His 6 TFLs are the most after the first two weeks of a season since J.J. Watt had 7 to open the 2015 campaign...#BertschyBits#HereWeGo
