No. 5 Florida State is one game away from completing the seventh undefeated and untied regular season in school history.

The fine print? That final game, as it has been since 1977, is a matchup against the Florida Gators.

The high stakes of the matchup are on two different spectrums — FSU is trying to continue controlling its own destiny in pursuing a playoff spot, while Florida (5-6, 3-5) is seeking bowl eligibility.

It’s the second game where FSU head coach Mike Norvell and UF head coach Billy Napier will face off, with last year’s matchup producing an explosive, offense shootout that saw the Seminoles come out on top 45-38 --- the highest-scoring game ever in the series. Overall, Norvell is 1-1 vs. the Gators.

The 67th meeting of the two schools will be a battle of backup quarterbacks, with Tate Rodemaker and Max Brown playing in relief of injured gunslingers Jordan Travis and Graham Mertz, respectively.

Ahead of the matchup, Florida State revealed its uniform combination — white on gold with gold helmets:

The Seminoles have worn several different combinations under head coach Mike Norvell — all-garnet, all-white (including with white helmets), garnet on white (with aforementioned white helmets), black and garnet, white on garnet, traditional away, and traditional home amongst them.
