FSU back to No. 4 in AP after win over Gators

Florida State capped off a perfect regular season with win over rival

Charles Mays/Tomahawk Nation

Florida State capped off a perfect regular season in Gainesville this weekend, overcoming an early 12-0 deficit to the Florida Gators to end its rivals’ season and keep its playoff dreams alive.

After dropping last week in the AP Poll following a slow start vs. North Alabama and the loss of quarterback Jordan Travis, Ohio State’s loss to Michigan over the weekend dropped the Buckeyes to No. 6 and allowed Washington (No. 3), FSU and Oregon (No. 5) to move up.

The Seminoles, who were No. 4 in the Coaches last week, held steady there.

Florida State takes on Louisville in the ACC Championship in Charlotte on Saturday, December 2, where the Seminoles will try to take home their first conference title since 2014.
