FSU defensive end Pat Payton announces intention to enter transfer portal

Florida State Seminoles football is set to potentially lose a major piece of its defensive line, with defensive end Pat Payton announcing his intentions to enter the transfer portal.

This season, the junior has logged a career-high 42 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and six sacks, also recording a fumble.

His career stats sit at 73 tackles (50 solo, 23 assisted), 19.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, 13 pass deflections and 2 forced fumbles.

Peyton, the 2022 ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year, was voted to the All-ACC Honorable Mention team in 2023.
