Report: FSU agrees to 3-year extension, raise with defensive coordinator Adam Fuller

Fuller coached the FSU defense to an undefeated season.

The Florida State Seminoles football team has signed their defensive coordinator an extension and raise. Per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Fuller’s new contract adds on three years and will include a pay bump.

Fuller’s defense reached new heights this season in his fourth season in charge of the Seminole defense. Per the FEI rankings, FSU fielded the sixth best defense by season’s end. The Seminoles capped off the perfect regular season with a defensive masterpiece against the Louisville Cardinals. In the ACC Championship matchup, Fuller’s defense held the Cardinals to just six points and less than 200 total yards, both well under their season average.

Norvell and Fuller are betting on Fuller’s last year as opposed to his previous years with this contract and it’s likely a good bet. Fuller proved at other stops he is able to build a top flight defense and has been steadily building towards an elite unit. Recruiting wins on the trail will only bolster Fuller’s chances of putting together more highly rated defenses.
