Florida State Seminoles football is face off against its third top ten opponent this season, in its third primetime game of the season, with the No. 5 North Carolina Tar Heels scheduled to come to Tallahassee.

The Tar Heels are coming off a big offensive showing in a 56-45 win over now-No. 23 Virginia Tech. Former ACC Freshman of the Year quarterback Sam Howell has North Carolina averaging 37 points per game.

Florida State is coming off a hard fought, but large loss to Notre Dame, who moved up to No. 4 in the country after the 42-26 win.

“This football team is continuing to grow,” head coach Mike Norvell said after the game. “We’re continuing to work our way through our process and I definitely believe in what the future holds. We’ve just got to do a better job — coaches, players, everybody — applying the lessons that we’re learning and things we’re implementing throughout the course of the week.

“When you play good opponents, you have to apply that through 60 minutes. There were bright moments, but we obviously didn’t get the job done.”
