Florida State football injury updates: Dotson dressed out, Travis Jay in boot

A few pregame observations on available Seminoles

Florida State Seminoles football is gearing up to take on the Jacksonville State Gamecocks today in FSU’s sole non-conference matchup of the season.

A few players have been dealing with injuries through the first few weeks of FSU’s season — here are some pregame updates on them:

Defensive back Meiko Dotson, who has yet to appear for the Seminoles this season after transferring in from FAU, is fully dressed out

Offensive lineman Brady Scott is not dressed out — offensive line coach Alex Atkins on Scott: “He’s played multiple positions. He’s fought through a lot. He’s one of the pillars of the program just because he has been through the changes, you know, he’s one of the few guys, everybody talks about the coaching changes, he has been here since the start of all of them.”

Defensive back Travis Jay, who was hurt in last week’s loss to Miami-Florida Hurricanes, appeared in a boot before the game.

Defensive back Hamsah Nasirildeen appears to be unavailable and is not dressed out for today’s game.

Defensive end Joshua Kaindoh is fully dressed out and going through warmups with the team.

Defensive tackle Robert Cooper, who left last week’s game with an arm injury, isn’t dressed out for pregame warmups and is wearing a sling.
