The Florida State Seminoles had another poor showing last Saturday, this time at the hands of the NC State Wolfpack. Their quarterback, Bailey Hockman, who once played at Florida State had a career day against the ‘Noles, the offense for the third game in a row failed to get much going, and players on defense often looked lost and out of place. Some of this is talent, some coaching, and some a lack of team cohesion.
This now marks the third game in a row where FSU came up short against a middling ACC team but there are always silver linings.
For the most part Florida State it looked like played a JV team against NC States varsity...and that’s because FSU head coach Mike Norvell decided to go full youth movement by starting 70% freshmen and sophomore. When you look at it in that light, a 38-22 loss doesn’t seem too bad. Within that 70% are a lot of the building blocks for FSU’s future — one that looks much brighter than the present.
Join Trey, Adam, and Kevin as they discuss the places where frustration is deserved and, more importantly, where optimism can be had on this weeks episode of the Triple Option.
