Game Notes via FSU Sports Info

  • The Seminoles lead the all-time series 15-4 (.789), including a 9-1 (.900) mark in Tallahassee.
  • This marks FSU’s first Thanksgiving weekend game against an opponent other than in-state rival Florida since hosting Pitt on Nov. 27, 1971.
  • Freshmen and sophomores make up 73.7 percent of FSU’s roster, the highest underclassmen percentage in the country. Additionally, FSU’s 13 seniors are the 6th-fewest in FBS.
  • This season, 19 Seminoles have made their first collegiate start, the highest number in the ACC that is tied for the most among Power 5 teams and for 7th nationally. Florida State started eight freshmen at North Carolina State, six on offense - including four on the offensive line - and two on defense. It was the first time since the 2011 Champs Sports Bowl that the Seminoles had four freshmen offensive line starters.
