Florida State football, recruiting news: Prepping for the Panthers

A prominent Panthers defender also opts out.

Previewing Florida State’s game against the Pittsburgh Panthers this weekend, as well as how to watch.

FSU released its depth chart ahead of the Panthers game and a prominent name is back, though he will be a game-time decision.

We also have yesterday’s practice notebook; the media spoke with head coach Mike Norvell, offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham, and quarterback Jordan Travis, who seems to have made great use of the bye week to get his body right.

Pittsburgh safety Paris Ford, perhaps the Panthers’ best defender, has opted out of the rest of the season.

It’s never too early to think about the Seminoles vs. the Wolfpack, especially since the game is in Raleigh and NC State’s quarterback could be former FSU quarterback Bailey Hockman. And now we know the kick-off time.

What an interesting list that, oh look at that, contains many of FSU’s opponents from the first half of the season but none on the back half:
