Linebacker Leonard Warner III enters transfer portal (Update)

The senior had 12 tackles in 2020

Leonard Warner has removed his name from the transfer portal:

Florida State Seminoles linebacker Leonard Warner III has entered the transfer portal, according to Rivals’ transfer portal tracker.

Warner started the season as the No. 1 at MIKE linebacker, but slowly ceded that title as the year wore on. He was rotated in several spots on the field to try and maximize his talents over his FSU career, notably at the FOX/defensive end spot this season.

The senior had 12 tackles this year.

Consensus four-star linebacker out of Snellville, Ga….rated the nation’s No. 2 inside linebacker recruit by ESPN, No. 5 by Rivals and No. 7 by 247Sports…ranked among the nation’s Top 200 prospects by the 247Sports Composite rankings, Rivals, Scout and ESPN…ranked the No. 16 player in Georgia by ESPN, No. 17 in the 247Sports Composite and No. 20 by Rivals…led Brookwood to an 8-4 record and an appearance in the second round of the Class 7A state playoffs in 2016…finished with 125 tackles and two interceptions while snagging Gwinnett Daily Post All-County First Team and Class 7A First Team All-State honors…had 110 tackles as a junior to also grab all-county accolades…participated in Nike’s ‘The Opening’, where his SPARQ rating ranked as the fifth-best among linebackers…chose Florida State over Georgia, Stanford and Georgia Tech among several other offers.
