Florida State football opened their bye week with practice on Tuesday morning. The Seminoles will practice twice this week. Mike Norvell mentioned the practices would be focused on the fundamentals, as well as getting some guys some much-needed rest. After an emphatic upset win at North Carolina, three Seminoles were honored with ACC Player of the Week honors yesterday. Dillan Gibbons was one of those, as he was named the offensive lineman of the week.
Gibbons, who has started all six games at left guard, helped guide the Seminoles to 238 rushing yards on 41 attempts (5.8 average). The ‘Noles didn’t give up a single sack and allowed just two tackles for loss. Over the last two days, Norvell has praised Gibbons for his physicality and ability to create space against the Tar Heels.
The Notre-Dame transfer spoke on his performance against the Tar Heels and the ‘dominant’ performance of the OL. He also discussed the honor of being named the ACC offensive lineman of the week.
