FLORIDA STATE — Head coach Mike Norvell spoke after Wednesday’s practice and expressed his frustration on an up and down day that started well, got a little rocky in the middle, and finished strong:
“Today, we went in phases today. I thought we started off well, good intensity, good focus, had a middle part of practice that was not to the standard of how we need to prepare and how we need to operate. I thought we did pick it up a little bit at the end but at the end of the day, our consistency is critical. We are not a good enough football team to be inconsistent on how we prepare and the intensity and energy we bring throughout the course of the practice. That is not the standard of how we're gonna operate as a football team. We are going to continue to push and we are going to hold guys to that expectation.”
