Florida State Seminoles football won its first game of the season on Saturday, a walk-off field goal victory vs. the Syracuse Orange.
“We’ve seen response, we’ve seen hard play and effort there, even when adversity showed up, but we hadn’t finished yet.“ head coach Mike Norvell said Saturday after the win. “That was the thing I was really pleased with was it took all phases to have to win it there at the end. We got to see those guys continue to believe, continue to push.”
FSU will be facing more adversity this week, as it takes on a North Carolina team that is favored heavily in the eyes of Vegas.
The Seminoles are a consensus 17.5 point underdog vs. the Tar Heels, who sit a 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the conference. North Carolina came into the season with high hopes, but an opening loss vs. Virginia Tech shattered those hopes pretty quickly.
