Florida State Seminoles football defensive tackle Dennis Briggs Jr. will be out for the rest of the season, head coach Mike Norvell announced Monday during his weekly press conference.
Norvell offered his praise to the impact Briggs Jr., who last year opted back in for the North Carolina game and played a key part in that upset, has had this season.
In four games, Briggs has had seven tackles, one tackle for loss and 0.5 sacks, playing a part in a defensive line that’s improved from last year. In his place, defensive tackles Fabian Lovett and Robet Cooper will be tasked with stepping up, along with Louisville transfer Jarrett Jackson who has seen an increased role in recent games.
