Florida State football picked up their first road win of the Mike Norvell era with a 35-25 win over North Carolina on Saturday. The Seminoles’ defense was stout after a quick UNC start in the first quarter. Cornerback Jarrian Jones had the play of the game for the FSU defense. Jones skied high for an interception in one-on-one coverage at the goal line in the second quarter. The DB finished with three total tackles and a pass breakup to go with the interception. After the win, Jones spoke to the media. Here’s some of what the cornerback had to say:
“The past two weeks, coach Norvell has stayed on me about being focused. These past two weeks, we’ve been locked in on my technique.”
“Coming into the game 1-4, nobody really gave us a chance. But we didn’t need anybody to give us a chance.”
“We came into this game knowing we were going to win. No one had us winning it but us.”
We’ll update this article with video of the interview as it becomes available.
