Florida State football is coming off a 30-20 loss against the Clemson Tigers in Death Valley. The Seminoles will be back home this week for a 4:00 PM matchup with the NC State Wolfpack on Saturday. Early this afternoon, defensive coordinator Adam Fuller met with the media to discuss FSU’s defensive performance against the Tigers and some of the big plays that the ‘Noles made. Here’s some of what he had to say:

“Akeem played a lot of snaps. Some was due to availability, some was due to his play. I thought the opening third down play was a great play, that was winning football. But there were some plays he would like to have back. I think he can be better.”

“The coverage itself, the end result was tight. Kevin (Knowles) reacted in a good way. I thought the finish was well done by Kevin. I thought he was in a good position from a reactionary standpoint.”

“What Jermaine (Johnson) did was two drills we work every day. There’s a lot of drill work showing up for him on tape. That’s a complete play at a critical point in the game.”

“We’ve got to win that game right there, right then. That’s an unacceptable finish. We’ve got to find a way to win that game and keep the score the way it was.”

“I absolutely think that we’re improved and I think we’re playing together.”
