WATCH: Omarion Cooper, Jermaine Johnson, and Keir Thomas talk Clemson game

“We definitely played hard, but we had another opportunity to win a game at the end and we didn’t do it.”

NCAA Football: Florida State at Clemson Ken Ruinard-USA TODAY Sports

Florida State football hit the practice fields this morning to prepare for their Saturday matchup vs. the NC State Wolfpack. The ‘Noles fell to 3-5 last week with a 30-20 loss to the Clemson Tigers. The Seminoles will look to get back in an offensive rhythm this week against the Wolfpack after scoring just 13 offensive points in Death Valley. After practice, DE Jermaine Johnson, DE Keir Thomas, and CB Omarion Cooper spoke to the media. Here’s some of what they had to say:

Omarion Cooper

“I got the opportunity, just played great technique. Stuck with the receiver, turned around and found the ball, and made a play on it. Felt good.”

Jermaine Johnson

“I just remember it being a critical part of the game and thinking that someone needed to make a play, so why not me. Got off the ball and it just happened so fast I ended up in the end-zone.”

Keir Thomas

“We didn’t come out with the win, that kind’ve hit me hard. You guys know how I feel about those guys. We definitely played hard, but we had another opportunity to win a game at the end and we didn’t do it.”
