The Florida State Seminoles football program continues to be red hot on the recruiting trail and its latest commitment is sending out one heck of a message to the rest of the southeast.
Florida State football and Mike Norvell picked up huge news today with a commitment out of Sam McCall. The 6’0’ 180 pound five-star (98 rating) athlete out of Lakeland, Florida by way of Lake Gibson High School (35th best player in his class according to the 247 Sports Composite List) was previously committed to the Florida Gators, but decommitted from at the turn of the new year. He chose FSU over offers from the Alabama Crimson Tide and South Carolina Gamecocks among plenty of other offers.

McCall ranks fifth at his position and sixth within the state of Florida. He’s listed as an athlete, but will likely play safety at FSU, joining fellow five-star Travis Hunter in the secondary on FSU’s 2022 commitment list.
#Tribe22 now ranks ninth in the country with six commitments, including two five-stars and two four-stars.
