The decision comes on the heels of spring practice concluding. Fann has not confirmed the decision with a post on any of his social media.
Fann came to Tallahassee in December of 2018 as an early-enrollee in former FSU head coach Willie Taggart’s second recruiting class. He committed to FSU in the summer of 2018. The Stillmore, Ga. product was a consensus four-star recruit.
Redshirting during Florida State’s 2019 season, Fann was later named a Seminole Scholar for the 2020 team.
Currently, Florida State’s roster is a jam-packed at both Fann’s position and his class on the team. FSU has 15 scholarship defensive lineman on the roster, including 11 players officially categorized at Fann’s spot of defensive end.
Also, the Seminoles have a whopping 34 players that are considered a redshirt freshman in terms of eligibility (even if they signed in different years).
