Florida State takes the field for the final week of practice before the Spring Game kicks off this Saturday. Today after practice we are scheduled to speak with FSU head coach Mike Norvell, an assistant coach to be named, and several players.
You can follow along in the comments section where I’ll have live quotes from today’s press conference around 6:30 (tentative). We’ll also have updates on our Twitter.
Last week, we heard from running backs coach David Johnson and he broke down the running back unit and how they have improved so far in camp. Redshirt freshman back Lawrance Toafili is confident that the men blocking for him up front, the offensive line, are improving this spring as well.
“Most definitely, seems like they are more on the same page, everybody is getting stronger. Everything is gelling and coming together,” Toafili said.
Then last Thursday, linebackers coach Chris Marve took the podium and gave his thoughts on his unit and the team overall. Marve has been impressed with redshirt freshman linebacker Stephen Dix Jr., who was also interviewed on Thursday.
“Even though he may be young from an age standpoint, you can tell the game is slowing down for him. In high school you are always moving faster as the best player. From last year to now, he has put in the work. If you ask any of his coaches or teammates he has the respect of everybody,” Marve said.
