Football:
Inside Adam Fuller’s Mind: X’s and Noles takes a deep dive into what kind of playcaller defensive coordinator Fuller is. This is great stuff, and it’s worth your time.
Schedule Preview: We are working through FSU’s schedule and in case you missed it, we’ve got a funny preview of UMass and the return of Walt Bell.
Two Seminoles were named to pre-season award watch lists — one on defense and one on offense. How many ’Noles do you think will qualify for late season award finalists?
Fall camp is just a little over two weeks away and Florida State has released their annual media guide.
Some more numbers on FSU and its slow march back:
FSU averaged 3.06 yards before contact per rush when running to the left side of the line last year, just a tick behind UNC for best in the ACC. Even when you factor out QB runs, FSU was still No. 2 in the ACC in YBC/designed run. Now, the pass blocking? Still an issue.

ACC Media Days are a couple days away, but UF head coach Dan Mullen had some interesting words at SEC Media Days yesterday:
Mullen on UF not being ranked in the Top 25 of @philsteele042’s CFB preview:

“You can make an argument. We weren’t statistically great on defense, we lost a lot of production on offense, we have younger players.”
It’s almost like Dan tried to leave this offseason for a reason
Speaking of being sensitive:
