Head coach Mike Norvell speaks after Tuesday’s practice

Head coach Mike Norvell spoke to the media after Tuesday’s practice to discuss entering ACC play and the first road game of the season in upcoming opponent Wake Forest on Saturday at 3:30 pm.

“Wake Forest is a very talented team, they’ve played well the first two weeks of the season. [They are] one of the most experienced teams in all of college football. A team that relies on really good playmakers and playing the game with great fundamentals and discipline.”

“This is a defense that doesn’t give up the big play. They run they tackle. Special teams, it's probably as big of a week that we’ve had up to this point. This is a team that's been very explosive in their return game and do a great job in their coverage units so we have challenges ahead of us.”

And challenges are what they will get. Wake Forest is 2-0 on the season and has scored 40 points or more in both of their previous matchups against Old Dominion and Norfolk State.

“They don't beat themselves and if you couple that with explosive playmakers it's a tremendous challenge. I have all the respect in the world for [head] coach [Dave] Clawson and what they do.”

Last weekend, the Florida State Seminoles suffered a frustrating 20-17 loss against the Jacksonville State Gamecocks and look to notch their first win of the season on Saturday. The rest of today's interview can be seen below.
