Florida State football was back on the practice fields today, working to right their wrongs from the first three weeks of the season. The 0-3 Seminoles began their preparations for Louisville today as they went through practice. After practice, offensive line coach Alex Atkins met with the media to discuss the OL rotation and development. Here’s some of what he had to say:
“We talk to these kids about responding. They’re going to look to me and how I react in the moment. If I’m looking like it’s the first time and chaotic, then it’s going to be chaotic. I got to make sure my reaction is poised and understanding what we can do and putting them in the best position.”
“It’s the practice week, whose shown that they can handle the load and also throughout camp and through the training whose shown they can react in those moments.”
“Darius (Washington) has been training at center. We try to train about four to five guys, he’s been the most consistent with the snaps.”
“Some guys play comfortable in certain spots. But you also have to coach them that they can play at other spots, it’s more mental training than anything. I believe that they know what has to be done, and we’re going to put the best five out there, regardless of position.”
“Just giving them the truth and let the truth be the truth. We’re in meetings, the film is the truth no matter what the perception is.”
