WATCH: Mike Norvell speaks after Wednesday’s practice

“We need to see consistency and performance in action.”

NCAA Football: Florida State at Wake Forest Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

Florida State head coach Mike Norvell spoke with the media for about ten minutes on Wednesday ahead of the Seminole's 3:30 pm ET showdown against the Louisville Cardinals this coming Saturday.

Coach Norvell on returning some of the offensive linemen and evaluating where they stand for this weekend:

“They got more work today [Maurice Smith and Robert Scott] I think it's trending in the right way but obviously we have a few more days to see how their bodies respond and we will get a better sense of that when we get closer to game day.”

He went on to talk about how opposing defenses can sometimes come into a game with something that they had not shown the prior weeks or in the film room.

“For me, that's football. That's what I love about football and that's what I love about going through each week. You have a thought of what you're going to see, you have a plan. I want to prepare our guys for the tips that we think we have or that we think we know, or how you want to attack someone. We want their eyes to be starting in the right direction. Now when it changes, dealing with inexperience and dealing with guys who haven't seen a lot of things, that's where the challenge comes in.”

The Noles look to add a 1 to the win column after starting the season 0-3, (0-1 in conference play). You can catch the game on ESPN2 at 3:30 pm ET Saturday.
