Bye week watch thread: Stream, game info, discussion

After kicking off the season early in week zero Florida State Seminoles football is enjoying its first bye week of the year, getting a chance to regroup ahead of the start of conference play.

FSU’s foray into ACC competition starts next week on Friday, Sept. 16 vs. the Louisville Cardinals, who stumbled right out of the gate heading into the 2022 season, losing to Syracuse 31-7, but managed to overcome a rough first half to sneak out of Orlando with a 20-14 win over UCF.

According to DraftKings, UCF was favored by six points over Louisville, with an over/under of 61.5. The Cardinals struggled to get much of anything going on the offensive side of the ball, but the defense (and a few well-timed penalties that wiped off a pair of UCF touchdowns) carried the team to a win.

Here’s a rundown of all the other games on the schedule for week two of the 2022 college football season. Outside of the big ones like No. 1 Alabama vs. Texas (12 p.m., FOX), No. 9 Baylor at No. 21 BYU (10:15 p.m., ESPN) and, I guess, No. 20 Kentucky at No. 12 Florida (7 p.m., ESPN), some other potentially informative games to keep an eye on — No. 23 Wake Forest at Vanderbilt (12 p.m., SEC Network) and Boston College at Virginia Tech (8 p.m., ACC Network).
