Receiver recruit Tamorrion Terry commits to Florida State

A 6’3.5 receiver for the Seminoles.

Florida State picked up another recruit Thursday as Tamorrion Terry jumped aboard. Out of Ashburn (Ga.) Turner County, he has been an interesting recruit to follow.

At 6’3.5, and 195 pounds, Terry was a relative unknown until his senior season.

But then Terry received offers from Georgia, Auburn, Ole Miss and Florida, according to his 247Sports Profile. Those are strong offers, but because Terry lacked a qualifying test score, and was a late bloomer, he is rated as the No. 66 receiver in the country, and a three-star recruit.

Terry had 1187 yards receiving, and 19 receiving touchdowns as a senior, according to

Terry is the second receiver in FSU’s class, joining four-star D.J. Matthews. FSU returns just five scholarship receivers for the 2017 team.

Let’s take a look at his highlights.

It is about what you would expect. Terry is much bigger than almost all of the defensive backs he faces, and he does a good job of leaping and high-pointing the football. He also shows impressive speed for his size in his clips.

Chris Nee of 247Sports reports that Terry plans to re-take his test to achieve a qualifying score.
