Florida State football recruiting: High School recap

Florida State commits and targets in action.

NCAA Football: Clemson at Florida State Melina Vastola-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome back to another week of updates on Florida State commits and targets’ performances in the past week’s games.

This week, there’s not as much to report as some high school seasons are coming to an end. Another reason there is less to report is because Florida State lost a star wide receiver recruit when Marquez Ezzard decommitted this week.

One commit still in action is cornerback Anthony Lytton. Florida State’s top 2018 commit had a nice game on both sides of the ball, with 65 receiving yards on offense and an interception on defense. His team, Dr. Henry Wise shut out Suitland, 33-0.

In the 2019 class, one of the constants among commits has been Jalen Curry. The wide receiver put on a show this past week with over 200 receiving yards and three touchdowns. His quarterback, 2019 target Grant Gunnell, threw for 402 passing yards to go with four touchdown passes and two touchdown rushes. The two stars led St. Pius X to a 56-14 route of St. Thomas Catholic.

That’s it for this week. If you know of any other information, let us know in the comments. Keep checking back each week for updates on #Tribe18 and the future.
