Despite decommitting from Florida State a few weeks ago, three-star wide receiver Antoine Green remains very interested in the Seminoles, especially after taking an official visit here this weekend.
Green, the No. 65 wide receiver and No. 380 overall player in the 2018 recruiting class, committed to FSU in July after visiting for Jimbo Fisher Football Camp in June. He remained committed to the Seminoles throughout the season before he was a part of the mass exodus of recruits at the end of the Jimbo Fisher era, decommitting on December 3rd.
Still, the Seminoles remained in contact, visiting him twice before Green took his official visit this weekend. Early in the Taggart era, Green has noticed a sizable improvement in his recruitment from FSU.
“There’s been more communication,” Green said. “I know a lot about what’s going on and that’s all I really needed.”
Green said his favorite part of his visit was trying on his uniforms.
“It felt good because I like that garnet and gold,” Green said. “When [the coaches] brought me in, it felt like home. Everything was like I was with my ’Nole family so it felt good.”
Green will not be participating in the early signing period or early enrolling as he still plans on visiting a few other schools. He has visits scheduled in January for North Carolina and Ohio State. He didn’t rule out the possibility of a return trip to FSU as well.
On what will help him make his decision, Green said, “Just knowing what the coach has planned for me and knowing what I’m walking into offense-wise.”
Three-star wide receiver Antoine Green says the communication has been much better since Willie Taggart took over at Florida State Seminoles Football.Posted by TomahawkNation.com on Sunday, December 17, 2017
