After visiting Tallahassee multiple times during his recruitment, Christian Armstrong officially signed with Florida State during the Early Signing Period. Armstrong was one of the first players that new head coach Willie Taggart visited after Taggart arrived at FSU.

A three-star recruit from Warner Robbins (Ga.), Armstrong chose Florida State over Georgia, Alabama, and Auburn. Despite holding offers from some of the biggest programs in the nation, Armstrong is ranked as the 29th overall offensive tackle recruit, per the 247Composite rankings.

Armstrong enrolled early at Florida State and will get a leg up on his fellow recruits by participating in spring practice. At 6-5, 335-pounds, Armstrong has ideal size to play offensive tackle at the collegiate level. With senior right tackle Rick Leonard graduating, there is at least one open job along the offensive line heading into 2018. Armstrong will see which other prospects will join him on National Signing Day this Wednesday.
