Four-star outside linebacker Levi Jones of Austin, Texas has offers from all the big Lone Star State programs. But they didn’t mean as much as Jones will be heading to USC. He picked the Trojans over FSU and Florida.
Jones (6-3, 215), who had his recruitment from FSU led by Tim Brewster, played at Westlake High School, and is ranked the No. 12 outside linebacker in the class of 2017, along with being the No. 29 player in the talent-rich state of Texas. He pulled made an official visit to Tallahassee on January 27th, however that obviously was not enough to pull in the four-star linebacker ranked No. 92 in the nation.
Jones is the first FSU target on National Signing Day to sign elsewhere. Even without his commitment, FSU looks poised to finish with a top-tier class, once again. He also had offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, Oklahoma, LSU, USC, UCLA, Florida, and Washington, along with a number of other high-level programs.
