Welcome to National Signing Day 2017. It’s a little like Christmas morning, in that fans get to figuratively unwrap the new toys their respective programs have garnered under the tree, and also akin to New Year’s Day, as teams look ahead to another year, one still brimming with hope and expectations.
This is when pen meets paper (and we even involve fax machines, for some reason), and those often tenuous verbal pledges become rock-solid written commitments. Of course, thanks to the early enrollment option, some 2017 freshmen have been aboard since early January. Others’ letters of recommendation will be making their way to the football offices in Tallahassee throughout the day, while some targets’ LOIs will be sent to competing campuses.
It’s a hectic day often rife with misinformation, but we here at TomahawkNation.com have you covered. This piece will keep you updated on who’s in, who’s still out, and who’s headed elsewhere. Make sure to check back frequently, as this will be updated in real time as events develop.
