After picking up a commitment from 2019 DT Lloyd Murray Jr. on Thursday night, Florida State got another 2019 DT commitment on Friday, this time from Loganville (Ga.) Grayson Tru Thompson.
Thompson measures in at 6’0 321 lbs. and was just on campus for FSU’s Junior Day, the second time he has attended the event. He has been a frequent visitor to Tallahassee after receiving an initial offer in June of 2015 while camping. Since then, the newest commit camped again the following summer and made an unofficial visit in October for Florida State’s game vs. Wake Forest.
Besides Florida State, Thompson had offers from three other schools — Florida, LSU and Miami.
With the commitment, Florida State’s 2019 recruiting class is ranked No. 8 nationally and No. 2 in the ACC. All four commitments in the class play on the defensive line with Thompson’s 321 lb. frame the largest of all.
I want to thank God and my family. I've made my decision to verbally commit to Florida State University #GoNoles pic.twitter.com/SEnay9NVZG
