Despite not having a single player drafted in the 2017 NFL Draft, four-star DB Isaiah Bolden from Zephyrhills (Fla.) Wesley Chapel has announced his commitment to Oregon.
Bolden is currently in Eugene, Oregon visiting the school for its Spring Game.
The former Florida State pledge had been committed to the ‘Noles since June of 2016. He was recently offered by Oregon on January 1st, 2017 and made his commitment less than four months later.
According to 247 Composite rankings, Bolden is the No. 167 overall player in the nation, No. 34 in Florida and No. 18 among cornerbacks. He currently has 28 scholarship offers including schools such as Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Georgia among others.
Five-star cornerback Anthony Lytton’s recent commitment more than likely played a role in Bolden’s flip. In Florida State’s 2018 recruiting class, there remain two blue-chip cornerbacks in Lytton and Asante Samuel Jr —- so there is nothing to worry about regarding recruiting depth at that position. The class, with the loss of Bolden, fell to No. 6 nationally according to 247.
